Why we exist
From a gap in the industry to a new way of working
The superyacht industry has long relied on manual processes and scattered paperwork—for crew vetting, certificates, and vessel compliance. That made admin heavy, compliance hard to track, and left real gaps in security. CrewPass was founded to change that.
CrewPass was launched in 2021 by Conrad Empson, a former bosun who had seen those challenges from the inside. What started with a focus on proper crew vetting has grown into a platform that digitalises and modernises compliance and crew management across the industry—using AI to cut unnecessary manual work and give everyone one place to stay compliant and in control.
